In this 3 day course we will be painting from the mind, heart, and imagination.
We will be working with mainly acrylic paint and colored pencils.
Being that this is an all skill levels class I will be breaking down some of the very basics. I am primarily self taught as an artist and there is a lot of info I have learned along the way. I am going to be sharing things I wish I had found sooner, like how to read your paint label and about setting up a palette and the various qualities of acrylic paint and how to use them to your advantage while layer building. I will be showing you my approach to painting without a plan, adding and taking away, mark making, brush and paint application techniques, building up layers and much much more.
Live demos, class discussion, solo work time as well as one on one feedback from me.
you will leave this class with 3 or more started paintings to continue working on and complete after class is over. if you would like to come back to the studio to finish your pieces, we can schedule time to have you back in the studio.
6 students max class size.
