I started teaching classes out of my studio in 2025. So far I have had 3 Cohorts of students and look forward to teaching classes seasonally each year moving forward. Right now the only class I offer is a 3-day mirror study self portrait intensive. It is a great jumping off point or check in for any creative at any point in their artistic journey. Whether you are well versed or new to self expression, this is an excellent way to give yourself some feedback on where you are, and inform you on new techniques and an open mind to approach upcoming projects. Friday-Sunday
10am- 4pm
In this class you will learn my approach in:
Painting with a limited palette, Learning by doing, Mark making and layer building techniques, basic color theory and paint mixing, Rendering and proportion, Painting with “no mistakes”, and Testing new mediums in a controlled setting.
You’ll be provided everything you need to create your 9x12 mixed media mirror study.
-acrylic paint -colored pencils -wood panel -paint brushes
Feel free to bring anything else you’d like to work with knowing that I will be teaching you with tools that I’m most familiar with.
You’ll experience live demos, one on one feedback, and independent work time in a group setting. Mirror study is one of my most powerful learning resources and love to share what I am learning.

Teaching Style:
I am primarily self taught as a painter and have rejected most traditional approaches. Learning under a lot of structure and rule did not resonate with me creatively.
I will not teach you “the correct way” to do anything. I will present things that work for me, share information that I have acquired over the years, and help you feel confident to experiment, play, and find what works for you.
